Ive got crack on the welding where the exhaust joins into the four pipes, It looks like the cracks on the inside of the pipes so it wont be easy to repair.

Has anyone managed to weld it up? or would an exhaust paste work?

Get it tig welded its the best way

Most decent machine shops will have a tig welder should be £20-50

I'd be more pissed off that you have to remove the dam things

I 'temporarily' fixed mine by poking repair paste into the gap in the middle of the four pipes up to where they joined the single pipe until it squeezed out between the pipes and out of the end, filling the void. This temporary fix lasted for over 2 years until I removed the manifold to decat it and took the opportunity to cut through the single pipe just in front of the four and had the joints welded from the inside.

Both of mine were cut and welded over 2yrs ago, still working fine and saved £600 on new ones, definately worth doing imo.

Yep, same leak point, same solution. I did mine with fire cement 18 months ago. Still sealed, fingers crossed

I'm probably stating the bleedin' obvious, but the two manifold sections will need to be re-fitted to the car, lined up and tacked, then removed again for the welding together to be completed.

The guys running a business, not a charity. Two hours @ £60 p/h + vat and there goes your 150 quid wink
