Fractured oil cooling issue (with mucky piccys!)

Dropped the DB9 into Tim at Trinity for 3 days for what was planned to be a basic service and installation of clear rear lamps... Turned out to be quite a bit more than that!
The service due was actually the sparkplug service so that hurt a little more than I was planning, then Tim called with the news he had discovered something he had never seen before. The Oil cooler had fractured and been slowly leaking oil. Not such a big deal until taking into account it had been 3 litres over a couple of months (Was there 2 months ago so has to have been after that). However I do quite a few miles, mostly on empty motorways at silly o’clock so maybe at a slightly elevated rate knots. The oil hadn’t just leaked onto my driveway, not a patch to be seen, it was only leaking when in use under pressure, this being on the motorway most of the time, the oil had found its way under the plastic cover thingy under the front (up sure someone here knows better than me what it is called!) and INTO the air ducts, all the way up to air filters, soaked those and past those and into the engine air intake!
Needed 3 litres of top and several hours cleaning the whole lot out. As you can see from the photos left quite a mess....
That leaves me 6 months into DB9 ownership and £8k in service/maintenance so far.... maybe I do need something slightly different for my daily driver doing 35k a year... Tim quite likes the idea of such a regular customer though... hmmm He has promised me a family discount if I marry his daughter, however at this rate she will have to buy dinner on our first date

35000 Miles per year?! Seriously?Surely you could pay for a daily driver with the money you will save on fuel if you got something fairly economical. Also the money you would save on depreciation would be staggering, who's going to want a DB9 with over 100k miles on it! Presuming you're keeping it for a while anyway.
