help with a decision..996

went to look over a 996 tonight. Car was v nice, 02 but one of the last of the 3.4versions.
I would do a few jobs on the car if I bought it (different wheels and a few cosmetic interior bits and pieces (sticky loud pedal and side sills had some aftermarket chrome efforts which I'd remove.
However can anyone help me with the following:
1) - Although the clutch and RMS were replaced 2000mile ago about 10 months ago) - when I checked under the car, that area of the engine appeared to have an amount of oil with what appeared to be a recent evidence of leaking although it was difficult to tell how recent the leak had been. - would you expect a recently replaced seal to be bone dry or (as I've heard) they all have a tendancy to weep? Apart from that the car ran fine.
2) - With the sat nav module in the car, would the car still have a stalk for the trip computer setup? ad said trip computer but didn't have the stalk I've seen on several other models I've looked at (but none of which had the sat nav module).
I am interested in the car, but I'm just concerned about that rear seal..
