AM Sat Nav

Hi ,

Been lucky enough to drive a DBS Volante for a few days last week. It's a 2010 car and besides being an absolute dream to drive the
sat nav in the car is markedly better than the DVD based sat nav in my 08 plate V8 Vantage Roadster.

I'd like to update the sat nav if possible, i know this has been talked about before in the forum , but can't seem to find the thread.

Can i update so it looks like the sat nav in the DBS Volante ?

It will depend on the system you have in the Roadster. If it is the HDD system you should be able to get the latest discs and go through the upgrade to take it to the same look and feel of the 2010 car. If you have the DVD system then afraid the answer is no. The thread you are looking for is this one:

Thanks, i did think as much.

I have the DVD system , so looks like all i can do is upgrade to the latest maps.

Is the 2012 update disc available for the HDD system now?

I assume if you feel strongly enough about it that you could repalce the DVD player with the HDD unit in the boot space. The screen is the same so it should be possible.

Just got email from satnavdvds (www.satnav-updates.com)and 2012 upgrade discs should be available within the month. Keep an eye on their website.

After updating my DVD based Satnav with 2010 discs it now accepts 7 digit postcodes and the lane guidance graphics are much better.

A shame they didn't update the voice. I would love Joanna Lumley giving me directions (and no that isnt a metaphor!)

I'd definitely update the sat nav if it meant Stacey from Gavin & Stacey was the voice
