Got caught in a muddy deluge at a music festival near Castle Howard on saturday night. Short of jacking up onto axle stands and hiring a jet washer, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of a service company that lifts and steam cleans or jet washes the underside of cars?

A good drive-in jetwash should do it, no? Theres a good one in Garforth, £3 is easily enough for a very thorough top and bottom hot-wash. I do mine regularly through the winter when its too wet/cold to handwash, but I want to rinse the salt off the underside. Loads better than the usual supermarket ones.

Perhaps you have one nearby?

Hi Simon. Sounds good. Where abouts in Garforth is this? It sounds better than your typical BP or Shell ones, which tend to be over a bit of a drainage pit (makes it very hard to get under much of the car, which is very low anyway). Cheers.

If you want to borrow a pressure washer let me know. It's got an angled nozzle for cleaning underneath. I'm in Shadwell if that's anywhere near you, or will be when I'm back up North at the weekend. smile

It's opposite Tesco. Drive past the petrol station and it's on your right.

My Mate used the Garforth one. I've heard good opinions. You even get a hand-held drier biggrin
