Creaking from rear - noisy bush?
Discussion
Any ideas what is causing the creaking sound on my Mum's Mk2.5?
It makes a noise when you push down on the body above the rear drivers side wheel arch. You can also hear it when manoeuvring at slow speed, going over bumps and when you get out the car.
I think it is some sort of dried out bush? How can I identify which one is the problem? Any likely candidates?
Thanks

Thanks Thanks for the advice. I'm not very experienced in this sort of thing though!

(Not our car)
Is the bit circled in red the ARB bush and the bit in blue the drop link?
If so can I spray copper grease all over the bush?
And then if it turns out to be the drop link is that only two bolts to replace? Does it mess with the geo setup?

That the right parts - the same setup at the front too.
You can test the ARB bushes by spraying a bit of WD40 in them. If it goes away then they need to be removed and cleaned up (I wouldn't use copper grease, just clean the bar & bush thoroughly). If it doesn't have any effect then try disconnecting one end of the drop link and test again. To remove the drop link you need a spanner and an Allen key (assuming it's a Mazda drop link).
