C Class Becker Map Pilot - TMC Issue

Hi all,
Does anyone have a C Class (2011 on) with the Becker Map Pilot sat Nav??
I have had my C Class for over a year now and I have never got the traffic management system (TMC) to work. I have updated the software, enabled all conceivable options etc as well as Mercedes taking it in 3 or 4 times to get the thing working.
Today I am told that it was not meant to work in the UK!!! - after many trips where I was told, "We have tested it and it is working".

So if anyone has got this function to work, please please could you let me know before I go back to the main dealer with my angry face on.

I have exactly the same issue. On hold to Becker right now (0800 901 29 58)!! Does anyone have a C Class (2011 on) with the Becker Map Pilot sat Nav??

EDIT -Becker have 'escalated' my issue to their 'superior technical department', and will respond by email within 24 hours.

738ALR > Are you the guy who has the demo videos on YouTube? If so, I have shown them to Mercedes Manchester to illustrate that album artwork DOES show up when plugged in as he didn’t believe me at first.
Finally (yesterday), got the issue sorted. It has taken 15 months of to/fro-ing to get here. And it only happened because I went on forums to see if anyone else had the issue (hence I found your vids). Then I told Merc that other peoples’ cars worked fine, which is when they took me more seriously. As far as I understand, we have had another new unit (in glovebox), a replacement antenna and some other bits. It now finally works. They needed to order wiring diagrams etc to discover the issue.
All I can say is, speak to Stephen Ashcroft at Mercedes Manchester (service dept) as he knows exactly what the issue is now and can advise your local dealer.

Seech, yes it's me! I was lucky enough to get my car shortly after it was available (I ordered well before they were on the road) and had a lot of people asking me about the new mp3 capbilities. I still haven't managed to get TMC sorted out with the latest software update from Becker (and I'm not the only one). I will definately speak to Stephen, as it sounds like he might be helpful!

I also had the same issue, and spoke with Mercedes Manchester, the advice given worked a treat.
Not worth bothering the poor guy there, he rues the day that his name appears here.
The Remedy is simple... update your Becker S/W and Firmware. I'm now running the latest version, and Boooosh! the Traffic info, and red triangle works fine.
I also, under advice, re-registered my Becker on the website, and reset my unit on re-installation... yep, it wiped my previous journeys off, but no biggie.
TBF, the Becker interface/Web GUI isn't the easiest to work your way through, plus it seems to have some issues with Windows 8, but once you sync, back-up and do all the admin, the unit works fine.
You have to "buy" the latest update via the shop, but it's FOC anyway.. so no drama.
My mistake for the last 12 months, is thinking that I'd downloaded the S/W update once I'd connected the unit, plus it had identified that my S/W was out of date, when in fact I hadn't, I'd just D/L'd the management tool. Doh!
Anyway, update your S/W, that is the quick answer...
