On the verge of taking the plunge with a new SLK but need some advice..

I'll buy the car tax free and get a very reasonable discount on top. So I'm after buying the best car for residual purposes. I intend to change it after a year and will then repeat the process.

Problem is I really want an AMG version but the likelihood will be the small more economical model will probably have the best residualsfrown. I'm trying to persuade the wife that the AMG is more expensive so the discount will be greater, but not going well at the moment.

Anybody in the trade or the know, could hazard a guess at a 12 month trade in or cash buy back price for an SLK model?

tbh from my own research of cars and especially mercs, base model excluding kit etc lose the most value, the sport models or models with amg kit 100% keep their value better.
