Me and a mate went for a spin this evening after work, on the way through Llanelli we came up behind a volvo s60 being driven in the manner of a person in the advanced stages of refreshment. The bloke's driving was absolutely ludicrous, thankfully I have never seen anybody drive this badly on the roads before.

He nearly drove straight over a roundabout, after which he did drive 2.5 miles down a bypass on the wrong side of the road that was luckily completely clear of oncoming traffic, at 60 mph. Nearly had 3 head on collisions in quick succession, two of which were very close and then nearly took out a traffic light which he also went through on red. Once his little display was over he decided to indicate right, swing the car right and then cut wildly over to the left to mount the kerb and park on the wrong side of the road, just inside a junction with his arse sticking out on to the road and I swear he almost clipped the building. At this point we couldn't really follow him any further as he was just inside a dead end so we continued on to the roundabout 200yds down the road and came back, parking in the side street opposite to see that he had driven down the road about 30 feet and attempted to park 45 degrees off the kerb.

Unfortunately we forgot about the camera in the back that can take video, or the smartphones in each of our pockets to film the chap driving as evidence. Although I did ring the rozzers when he started to drive the wrong way down the bypass and from start to finish, from the beginning of the phone call to the rozzers turning up in two cars took less than five minutes and thirty seconds. Got a phone call from the arresting officer a bit later to ask exactly what I had seen and what have you, just in case he tries to argue that it wasn't him driving. I didn't see anybody else there, although he did go out of sight when we went to go around the roundabout so it is possible but I didn't see anybody else there when we returned and apparently there was nobody else in the car.

TL;DR? Pissed up foreign dude gets nicked.

Good on you for reporting him, but he'll doubtless carry on driving unfortunately. Some people just don't care. frown

Based on the area I reckon I could correctly guess the nationality of the driver.

It wouldn't be difficult to guess. Do you know Raby Street at all?

when i used to live on a farm(8years ago), we owned all the fields that boarderd my local town. athough, including my privately owned lane, this was 1.5ish miles away from my home. i was able to buy a field car, drive to the last gateway we owned. pop in town. get smashed. hop in the old Rover 620 and meander my way home.
i was later told this could be considered illegal as our hedge row ran alone side a main road? is that true?
