Bit of a bargain

If anyone is in the market for a very decent iPod dock, and doesn't want to spend £500 on a Zeppelin, I can heartily recommend the Conran Audio dock. It was retailing at £250 but clearly the market isn't that keen, and Play has them at £70.

Mine arrived this morning and I have to say it sounds pretty damn good. Looks lovely too and the cd-quality bluetooth audio in from iPhone/ iPad/ computer seems to work very well.

Always been a sucker for a bargain!

There will be loads of expensive cheap docks very soon. Play have just started clearing dead wood sooner than most.

I looked at a cheap Harmon Kardon dock the week before in Currys, but it was twice the price of the Conran and an ugly monolith. I agree there will be lots around but the Conran is a seriously lovely bit of kit and I'm really happy with mine.

Thanks for posting this, been looking for a new dock for some time and refuse to be sucked into the Bose marketing machine. Just ordered the Conran in black, bargain at £69.99.

Will ithe phone 4s fit in the dock?

My iPhone 4 does and I'm sure it is the same multi-pin connector. If that's not right, bluetooth it in!!

Thanks, I've just seen there is a 'photo' as part of the gallery on the Play website that shows which iPhones/iPods are compatible and the iPhone 4 is on there.
