Afternoon all, I will be heading home shortly and have just been informed that the A30 is closed near Church Road.

Can anyone let me know if it's usable or am I better of going the really long way home?

Not sure if its related but I was going towards Camberley at around 2pm and a mercedes had attempted to turn right and gone straight into the oncoming traffic, which luckily was stopped at the lights. The Elderly gent at the wheel was clearly uncouncious or worse. No sign of a big impact and a passer by smashed the passenger window to get in to the car to get to the chap. I heard the accident happen but did not see it.

Since they closed the road I can only assume there was either another serious acccident or the Elederly chap had passed away at the wheel.

was this related to the amount of police at the meadows roundabout earlier as all the lights were out and a van and couple of cars were stopped on the roundabout with 2 other cars parked in front?

that junction is a bar steward. On Friday morning nearly had a 7.5 into the front of me as he 'jumped' the lights. I went on the right turn filter, i was turning from A30 into Knoll Rd. Then in the pm, doing the same route, saw a jag nearly get vcleaned out from the London direction on his legal right turn when two idiots going 'north' went on the filter traffic moving

I reported th driver of the lorry to his firm, as not only did he 'ignore' the lights but was on the phone as well, as i said to the traffic manager i couldnt tell if he gave me the digit or V sign as the phone obscured it!.
Found out yesterday he was sacked. Felt bad about it but the real culprits are the brain dead who designed. Perhaps now something will be done
