Damon Hill should listen to Harry Enfield in his Rottweiler Sketch "Damon....Stop what you are doing now.........I will not stand for it." He now wants to see a 50mph limit on our motorways. This from a man who used to race F1, was a London motorcycle courier and used to own a high performance car centre on the outskirts of Leamington Spa. All this politically correct twaddle from an emascualted Damon show the contempt I hold for some British men who seem to have no balls and want to be wrapped in cotton wool by the nanny state and society in general. With attitudes like this we might as well drop the Great prefix before Britain and let it be known as Elf and Safety Nanny State gone Mad !!!!! A short ride in my TVR would shake him out of his slumber !!!

Can't argue with what he's done in life, but he has always come across as a bit of a fanny.

There, that's my intelligent and considered opinion on the subject.scratchchinwobblewobble

I'm not entirely sure he does. The newspaper reported it as that but he actually said that some people aren't safe to drive above 50mph, which is very different to the limit should be 50mph. as usual the headline isn't what the person actually said.

I dont think he is talking twaddle, since police no longer patrol the roads in a fashion that deters hooligan driving,a small percentage of idiots drive in an unsafe manner.Yesterday in torrential downpour a doombrain was weaving in and out of lanes on the M25 at a speed 20-25 mph faster than anyone else,i was suprised to witness he was using indicators to change lanes,i suppose that makes it ok? Had he lost control the potential for an accident is raised by this sort of driving, our roads are to crowded to consider raising speed limits.
