2 options that I went through on my DB9...
First was switched springs to H&R, this stiffens it nicely and lowers it around 20mm.
I then went to the Bamford Rose fully switchable system which goes from as soft as standard to stiffer than sports pack at the push of a button. To say I'm thrilled, the car is like new or any of the usual cliches would be an understatement. Total transformation, it's like having 2 cars in one
No idea what your dealer is offering you and I suspect they don't either...

Your best bet is to ask your local friendly dealer if they have a sports pack car in stock, if so ask for a test drive and see if you like the handling/ride quality on a challenging bumpy B road. The official set-up is great, but you can't beat "try before you buy" so you can decide if it's right for you. Best of luck

not really, only if you have problems with the springs ...which are under warranty from H&R anyway
its not like changing the springs can cause the engine to blow up or anything
Haha yeah, I know it won't affect the engine! Although you never know with these warranty's! Porsche can be fairly tricky, hence my double checking.its not like changing the springs can cause the engine to blow up or anything

I figure that if I change to non-approved springs, then it will only affect those parts directly impacted by such a change. Shall call my dealer tomorrow. I got a quote for the Aston sports suspension, £5k including the wheels, and you have to have the wheels they won't just sell the suspension parts, thats from Aston and not the dealer.

If you don't want to lose ride height that is your best option.

If you like the ride on the sports suspension, I think its a good option, come resale, its a factory upgrade etcI figure that if I change to non-approved springs, then it will only affect those parts directly impacted by such a change. Have had a chat with my local, they have confirmed my above thoughts via this email;
"I sent an email to extended warranty yesterday regarding your suspension but I didn't hear back so called them this morning. If there is any faults regarding your suspension or any faults related to suspension and you have after market suspension fitted on your car, it will not be covered as they send an engineer out to investigate defects."
Seems fair to me.
I spoke to Bamford Rose this morning, they can supply the H&R Springs for not much over £500, seems like the route to go down. Shall retain the factory springs and whip them back on come re-sale.
Thoughts?

Looking to make the V8V a little stiffer, I have an extended warranty. I have thought about the Prodrive set up, but the dealer suggested they might have a sports suspension option.
Looking for feedback from anyone who has been through this process.
Many thanks
Scott

Did you look into the Prodrive option at all? I've only seen it on their website, but it's driver-switchable as per the BR set-up with Bilstein / Eibach hardware.
At £3k including VAT and fitting, looks pretty good value but I've heard they're not offering it any more, so was wondering if you had made an enquiries to confirm / deny.
I may email them.
