this may help, found some old sketches when I measured the ajp to see if it would fit in the griff, but don`t have the width and hieght dimensions unfortunately, but to guess the width must be around 400mm without exhaust manifolds fitted, as the griff chassis was 450mm wide and the manifold pipes were above the top chassis rail.

length of engine, from front pulley bolt to flywheel face, 600mm
length of bellhousing 160mm
length of gearbox, from bellhousing mating face to gearbox mount centers,483mm.

I seem to remember the weight of the engine being around 110lbs, compared to the rv8 at around 150lbs, but cant vouch for accuracy on that one I`m afraid.

Thanks guys I have a project that I'd love to do and I've always wanted to use an AJP as opposed to the usual RV8 or Chevy lumps. I'm going to have a measure up........scratchchin

It is significantly smaller than a Rover V8 and fits my Westfield nicely.....
My measurements from web crawling showed this. It is most definitely shorter
AJP on left and RV8 on right - as below

Height 480 (no intakes) 711

Width 500 762

Length 542 843

Well I have a 1380 Mini and I've been into my TVR's for some time so the A-series much as its really quick being 1380 just isn't a V8 smile. The Mini's been lying outside my workshop for well over a year with no engine in (Too busy doing outriggers etc on Chim). Someone said the other day I wonder what a Mini with an AJP would be like epic is all I can think. There's quite a well know one with a 7ltr Chevy in but I just think the AJP is a bit more "racey" and different. I'm really tempted to do it.
