Hi just after some pointers regarding remapping a TDV8. I have just aquired a 2008 TDV8 Hst and after having a TDV6 previoulsy remapped was hoping that you wise chaps could point out the benefits of remapping the TDV8.

I have regular use of a remapped FFRR TDV8 and it really does shift and the returning fuel economy is not bad either. So its prompting me to get mine done.

I have spoken with JE Engineering who quote an increase to 315bhp and 800nm Torque, I have also had contact with Viezu who did the remap on the FFRR.

Any comments or guidance regarding the above would be greatly appreciated.

I've been looking at getting mine done and have spoken to je engineering who quote increase in bhp to 315 and torque incres to 600lbs.

Also spoken to Viezu who quote a 30bhp increase and torque increase to 500nms.

Anyone have any experience with either company and this type of upgrade. Cost is not the issue just want to make sure I get the best possible map for the car.

Any comments most welcome.

Phil.

Had my FFRR 3.6 re-mapped at JE Engineering a few months ago, it's great and as advertised. MPG has improved 5%-10%, probably because the wave of torque (800NM) just throws it down the road at half throttle. I very rarely use full throttle now. No problems whatsoever. Recommended.

I had mine done at Austec Racing in Crawley(08-plate RR Vogue TDV8)

Made a big difference to the performance but not to the MPG - 23mpg all the time before and after.

Still didn't stop it breaking down all the time, though.
