mac aperture help please

Hi all mac aperture users.

i am trying to add a vault. when i do this it tells me that i have 118 referenced images whose referenced image files will not be added. I understand that.

However when i click on photos and then >flie>locate referenced files, it tells me that there are no referenced images.

i've checked the photo stream and there are no referenced images there. The only way i can think of doing this is to go through every project and >file>locate referenced images in each one, but i have nearly 150 projects to go through. I assumed that if i clicked on photos at the top of the sidebar and selected all it would select all of the images that i have?

I'm a bit confused.

Which pics would have these referenced images? I want to back the whole lot up and not miss out 118 pics.
