I am running with an Omex 710 ECU which supports wideband lambda. i actually want improved fuel consumption, as the tank in my Westie is only 5 gallons and would like to go further between fill ups on long trips to Europe. I know it sounds odd but stopping every 120 miles is not always fun when you simply want to enjoy driving.
you can buy aem widebands on ebay for around £150 with the gauge, sensor and all fittings.
all you need to do is drill the downpipe and weld on the fitting boss.
wideband can be fitted to any car it does not need to be linked to ecu
make sure the sensors around 2-3ft away from manifold (especially on turbo applications) or youll kill the sensor due to excess heat.
good bit of kit and very handy for monitoring afr's
