Prevent leather tear spreading

Hi all,

I've got a tiny tear in the leather on top of the transmission tunnel of the Tiv:



Surrounding leather is in excellent condition and I don't want to go to the expense of having a new section sown in.

Sorry if this is a numpty question (because I am one), but what is the best way to stop the tear getting worse? Should I try to source a repair patch or is there something else?
