Your Favourite Current Driver?

You often here of peoples all time favourites mentioned in passing on the threads in here, Clark, Senna, Fangio. But until we get round to regrowing our dying body parts or putting our brains in a robot (which Im looking forward to these mouth ulcers are pain), sadly drivers will pass away, or get too old to race.
So who is your favourite driver (all forms GT/Sports/SSers) who is racing right now?
Im a big fan of Romain Grosjean, naturally very quick- hes been quicker than Kimi which is pretty good going, great 'racer' in the pack (If a little unlucky
), clean racer. And seems like a nice young man.
Other notes - Hamilton, Fellipe Nasr.

not a fan of his personality, but alonsos driving this season has been top notch, dragging a distinctly second rate car round and winning with it twice, fair credit to the man.
big vettel fan, fast, smooth, good on his tyres, tactically very astute, i can see him winning alot (more)
and one to watch; seb morris, currently driving BARC formula renault championship, having dominated the ginetta junior championship last year. already up to speed in the renaults, naturally very quick indeed.

Ever since my missus has signed up to Twitter she thinks Alonso is wonderful. He comes across very well on there.
Away from social media, I love watching Lewis race. Simon Hadfield is a very gifted historic racer. Allan Simonsen (as mentioned above) is very special in GTs. Casey Stoner is fun on a motorcycle. Kenny Brack has illuminated with wonderful drives in the Shelby Daytona Cobra at Goodwoods Revival and FoS in recent months. He and Gil de Ferran were fantastically gifted oval racers in their day.
Truth is I admire all the guys who hang it out on the ragged edge - they're all my heroes.

A few lucky breaks doesn't diminish the achievement of his win in Valencia. It was a maestro's performance and he's been pulling results out of that Ferrari all season that it shouldn't have been capable of.
I have always enjoyed watching Allan McNish race - he is absolutely rostrum or hospital and seems pretty down to earth with it, if a shade intense.
Lewis Hamilton is the same but whilst I used to like the lad back in 07-08, but he has embraced the celebrity thing too much for me to warm to as a person now to be honest. Not really my cuppa that sort of thing.
Gordon Shedden seems like a decent lad as well com to think of it.

Interesting, I always pictured you as a Hamilton fan.It has to be Hamilton in F1. He's a balls out racer, never gives up and you can always count on him to drag a car around by the scruff of the neck. That's my kind of driver, plus he always comes across as a nice chap.
I like Vettel as a person (apart from his arrogant finger waving
) too, he seems to have a great sense of humour and also appears to love the history of the sport.I like Grosjean. He never seems to stop smiling and is super quick.
I have always supported Petter Solberg in rallying, bloody quick and never gives up. Plus his interviews are brilliant.
And Gordon Shedden has to be my favourite Touring Car driver.
I'm also a Tony Stewart fan, simply because he always says what he thinks.
And Danica Patrick, but maybe that's not because of her driving talent or anything...

Alonso for me too. He is just so. damn. good. He's a joy to watch, especially because he's not in the best car (by a margin!) you can enjoy his genius without being bored by it because he's miles ahead of everyone.
Jenson was a favourite of mine until this season. He just seems to be pissing it up the wall at the moment. I've been hugely unimpressed by him this year - and that's the first time I've ever said that!
I've also got a lot of love for Petter Solberg. The man's a lord but is like a massive bad luck magnet. He, like Kimi, should have at least two or three titles.

I think it's Button I'd like to see succeed the most. He seems unpretentious and relaxed from what I see on the box. I like his driving style too!
A close second (this is going to possibly be contentious, but there's a whole other thread for it) would be Schumacher MK2. I would have watched the last 3 seasons anyway, but since his return I have been particularly impressed with him and his desire to persevere and win even though it may end up "diminishing" his achievements.

Tom Kimber-Smith deserves a mention, hugely under rated and just nailed another win at Le Mans.
