Hop over to the wedge forum, or google for 280/350 wedge pics, as these (mostly) have the Cortina MC, so you can confirm.

Forum has some pics and discussions on MC replacement also.

The M/C on my M was replaced by a previous owner but I believe it is from a SAAB
and a direct bolt on replacement (supplied by Adrian V). It is twin circuit and has a working float level thingy wired into the handbrake warning light circuit.

If it looks like this then definately MK4 Cortina

I got a new one for my 3000S from Ebay. He has one for sale at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-CORTINA-MK4-5-BRAKE...

Yep, after the first couple of replies, a bit of searching around and cross checking numbers that's the one I came up with. It's ordered thumbup

The later S Series cars were Saab but Cortina looks like the one for M / Taimar.

... And fitted, definate improvement. Old unit wasn't leaking but must be a bit "tired" after all these years ?

And another worthwhile improvement while the bonnet was up.....

Doesn't everyone have a monogrammed battery strap? getmecoat
