Anybody out there know what the tyre pressures should be on a 450SE, standard wheels and tyres. Been suffering understeer so checked tyre pressures on front and they were 18psi, set at present to 24psi front 26psi rear. The bible doe's not give tyre pressures.:

The pressures as per the 400 / 450 handbook are:

Front 22 psi
Rear 24 psi
Spare 'space saver' 60 psi

Assumed tyres are 25 / 50 VR 15 RE 71

Thanks thats what I thought, 22psi seemed low, but if thats what is says in the handbook must be right.
Put pressures to correct level and understeer gone.

I run what the handbook says on my 225/50's and it feels about right.

The understeer would be due to the excessive speed n'est ce pas !

No its not excessive speed, it was understeering and squealing at low speeds, just under inflated, now I can corner V.quick with no under-steer or squeal.:
Just goe's to show check simple things first.

I think that you'll find that the standard 450 tyre width of 225 is nine times wider than a 25 profile. I believe that the handbook may confirm this.
