What's the best battery to buy?

After months of standing I'm going to attempt to replace the starter motor with a new one. I figure the battery will be shot as well. What's the best battery to buy these days for the Noble (part no?).

Also any words of caution/things to change (such as oil) or check on a Noble that has been standing for nearly 9 months before I give her a good run? I realise I am opening myself up for a barrage of attacks - I at least expect Ash to chime in!!

You might want to start a new one with a subject so the masses can get to it.

Battery - this is the best around

I'd also change the oil, filter and spark plugs wouldn't go amiss. Brake and clutch fluid might be an idea if they are more than a year old as well.

Plus, drive carefully for the first 200 miles - the tyres will have flat-spotted and will need to be gently used to get them perfect round again.

Full fluids change is a good idea and that's the exact battery that I fitted at the beginning of the year.

Given your propensity for storage an Optima yellow top may be a good bet.
They are designed to take deep discharge cycles without deteriorating like a regular battery, they also have a four year warrantee.

Although having just had a look at the specs as I've not seen it before, not a bad battery at all! What's a price for an 075 version?

Mine was around £125 IIRC (Ultima) 27J fitment

I think people have tried this with the Nob before and they won't do it...
