Is that the damper or is it one of the control links? Hard to see from that picture. If it's the damper and that black bit is the remains of the actual oil reservoir, that's quite impressive.

You can just imagine when it was dropped off

" I hit a pothole back in December ....it has been making a strange noise since...can you check it out and do the the MOT at the same time"
