I have a 1995 volvo 850 estate which I keep in the UK for when I am there.

It was turned over last week and appears to be only firing on three cylinders with a fair bit of smoke out the back.

It has a long MOT and is in good condition. It has all the T5 wheels/ bodykit etc.

Obviously I cant do much with it and as I am not in the UK until next year little point in keeping it.

Is it worth selling as is? Not sure what the car market is like in regards to smokers at the moment.

thanks

Probably worth peanuts as is. I'd keep it personally.

If it's been stood for a while the problem may clear up if it's driven a bit. The good old "Italian Tune-up".

Going by Autotrader the most expensive one on there is £1000. If yours is a bit knackered you might be as well to scrap it as it weighs quite a bit and sell the t5 alloys on EBAY

reluctant to scrap as its in too good condition. I suspect something more than an italian tune up, possibly a new engine. might just chuck it on classifieds for 200 quid- thats a good price for the alloys and bodykit alone.

You will probably get more than that by scrapping it.

bodywork immaculate as is interior - rare on one of these as usually workhorses. I am guessing replaced when left the police.

a new engine is 200 quid and easily swapable, in fact cheaper than repairing the old engine, I just dont see the point if I am not there.
