There is a downside Perry!
When i jump of the GSXR after pulling silly wheelies the TVR just does not feel as quick frown

Why don't you just race and treat it as a test.I don't see the point of testing and not racing at Silvestone.

At the risk of starting a boring debate which do you think would be quicker your T350 or my road registered/legal Tuscan ?

My back is still not good enough to race according to the doctor & Physio and i must admit to being in a fair bit of pain after only two sessions at Oulton a couple of weeks back frown
The car needs a full check over and a few new parts, but more than anything i think i need to get some laps under my belt before i'm released amongst you lot on a race track!!!!!
In total i have done 3 laps @ Silverstone in a Tuscan two years ago so to say i'm inexperienced would be an understatement biggrin and the last thing i want to be is a mobile chicane!
If i can get the car sorted and a few tests or track days under my belt i would hope to be out at Snetterton & Oulton
In reply to your question: On road or track? Slicks or road tyres?
As for the T350 i was doing 2;53's round Spa on my second visit on 888's? don't know how this compares to a race RV8 Tuscan but should imagine its a fair bit slower on a circuit especially round the corners!
The car is currently of road as i contemplate a 4.3 rebuild due to the LS Griff making it feel sedate or a sale to help pay for the racing etc
I know allot of guys turn away from their road toys once they start to race but i definitely want to keep developing my Griff and use it for both road and track
How often do you use your Griff? or is it all Tuscan action now.
I'll be at Silverstone with or without a car and hope to get to see your LS stretch its legs so to speak! Did you get the gearbox sorted?

I don't put her on the road anymore waste of time in my opinion so i would go with 888's you challenged me to a shoot out so i guess you would want 888's do you put slix on the T350 for trackdays ?

As for the T350 i was doing 2;53's round Spa on my second visit on 888's?

My road Tuscan was 2:42's on slix and 3:25's in the pouring rain on 888's at Spa.

I never drive it now it must be over two years since i did a trackday in her.I just use it to lend to friends or corporate entertaining.

I wouldn't worry about been a moving chicaine. All of the drivers to a man respect the slower cars and drivers we race with. The DETEC is more than just a race championship. It is the Safest and Friendliest championship i race in.The other drivers i'm sure will tell you that as well.I have only seen you at one race meeting that been Brands last month but i,m sure the more you come see the DETEC you will quickly realise it is made up of a great bunch of people and there is no chance you will be pushed around on or off track as you seam to think, racing is a non contact sport(unless your initials are AR )Don't get the wrong end of the friendly banter stick.Get your car on track and you will see how skilled and safe the other drivers are.
