After looking at the new 125i BMW I decided to 'shop it. I started by shortening its nose, then losing the rear door handles. Then made it into a coupe.
According to my colleague it now looks like a Ford Anglia.

Here it is ready for the stoning.

Please post any cars here which you have 'shopped.

I don't know how to change colours. Still learning.. Most of the BM was done with MS Paint. Then finished with Gimp2 (free)

bow @ Nismo. I can appreciate the work gone into all of them.

I tinkered with a C5 to make it a coupe. Doesn't compare to yours though.

i like that! although the way the rear window ends is reminiscent of the accrod coupe, which i hate!

how much work is involved here? i ask only as i need to have some designs mocked up for our BMW race car so we can have the car wrapped for the 24H barcelona. if it's not too involved to do a graphics scheme i can post some pics up. best design goes on the car. yay or nay?

That was just 20 / 30 minutes tinkering.

Re your designs, yes let's see them. If I / we can help, why not?

Cheers.

Thanks a lot, glad you like them smile You are doing well with your efforts, keep at it.

It does take a lot of practice. I've used photoshop for around 10 years now, mainly through my job. It also helps if you have a wacom, you got one? You can get the bamboo for about £50 from amazon. I couldn't use photoshop without one!

As for colour changes, I use the pen tool (with 'shape layers' selected) to trace the outline of the part(s) I want to colour. Not sure what the equivalent is in Gimp.

Here's a very quick example, around 30 seconds.

eta: here's a couple more of my older ones for fun smile

I used to be in the subaru club, incase you thought I was some kind of only-photoshop-subaru-impreza-fanatic hehe

This is one of my favourites of one of my old cars, it took a long time!

Actually, this isn't the final edit, can't seem to find it right now.

Enough, back to the tunes and beer.

Enjoy tinkering deltashad and post up any questions, will try my best to help!
