What do you have on toast?
Discussion
Cheap white bread, toasted and allowed to go cold (preferably a bit chewy), with boggo Anchor butter on it.
My parents were healthos (I was the only kid at my school to have brown bread in their lunchbox) hence cheap seaside B&B holidays were the only chance I ever got to eat white bread.
Consequently I love it and can't be doing with all the poncy stoneground wholemeal stuff. To me it tastes like the sweepings from hamster cages.

I was the same! My packed lunches however got swapped with the kids that had cheap white bread with just ham or just cheese in, along with their choc bar/crisps for my malt loaf/homemade cake. Marmite or thick cut marmalade for me. I haven't had Nutella for a while and am now quite fancying the idea of that too.
