Morning folks,

I was wondering whether anyone had any tips on, legitimately, getting more exposure for video content (YouTube)?
I've had some great feedback on a video I've done recently, but am really not getting that many views. I'm not thinking of this from a financial perspective as the soundtrack use precludes me from generating any revenue on YT..

Video is here if you'd like a nose.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbKA8lWaqPg&hd=...

Have you prepared your Video-Virgin equivalent guide yet? I've found out how to turn my dSLR into video mode, but no desperate reason to actually try it out in anger!!

Same as anything else really, market it properly and your views will go up. Twitter seems to net some good results, but you have to be fairly well established with followers who are interested in what you're punting out. Just wanting more people to look at it isnt really going to help!! There has to be a reason to draw people in somwhere

I think this is a fantastic video, really well done.

To answer your question from my point of view, to increase your view count you need it to be linked to as many sources as possible, this will be achieved by the people who are viewing it, then sharing it with other's and linking it in.

Then it starts making a buzz and traffic that the search engine bots pickup on, which then will start it making it on to the numerous other popular blogs and forums, then the views would rack up. It needs serious traffic and then it will go viral.

i would consider putting this up on Vimeo too which would be a really good platform too.

As I said I think the video is amazing, however the sound track which is a loop of a great aimree track is fine, but this video may be suited to other different sound tracks too.

I think the video has potential to get some serious views, sometimes things are slow starters. Views do not equal quality, most things with loads with views are poor, however this video is cool.

I will be looking out for more of your videos and obviously I will be sharing the link's.

Good luck

Nope, in my corporate video days I wrote the script and directed but used a lighting cameraman and an editor; never worked the buttons myself.
