Was shocked yesterday to get an email from a Jaguar dealer that I got my XF from in 2008 offering me discount on an XJL Portfolio in 2013 spec with the 8 speed box, new Meridian HIFI etc for a good price. Emailed them back and asked how much with Amethyst paint and additional options of BLIS, TV and rear entertainment and the answer......

If you order one for delivery by end of September and don't use Jaguar finance you can have the 72k spec for.......

Really surprised me, are they struggling?

The answer, who buys a stretched, luxury large saloon aside limo companies, CEO's & the PM?

I would love one, but a lux 4x4 is cheaper, more practical & more desirable.

Same deal on the SWB less the LWB additional cost.

Looking at Broadspeed, you can get a diesel XJ for at least 10% off list. But for a diesel S-class or 7-series you get at least 20% off list, which is almost what you've been offered, so maybe this is an industry wide problem, 20% off is the going rate and Jaguar are just a bit more coy about it?

OP, are you tempted?

I would be if you could get the piping deleted from the seats as it reminds me of cars in the 70s and just looks st. The dealer is looking into it for me as its only on the Portfolio spec that you get the piping in the first place
