Saw a car chase through town on my way home from work around 11.15pm. I'd stopped to look at my headlights as I noticed I wasn't illuminating the parked cars to my left. Whilst walking back to the driver seat I heard an old boxer engine thundering up the hill past the station towards me, waste gate whooshing. Classic Impreza Turbo comes belting belting by, windows half open two lads staring back as I watched them fly by.

The main road to the High Street is closed off at the moment so you have to take a zig-zag route around the side streets, Subaru takes the right and roars off up the road. "Bellend", I said aloud as it screms off dowm the next straight when a Police Mondeo on blues and twos comes around the corner, I point in the direction the Impreza took off in and it followed. It wasn't a traffic unit, and so obviously wasn't in a pursuit situation as such, just tracking it I guess. All of a sudden it went quiet, so I went back around to Haslemere High Street to see if something had happend.

The Mondeo, other marked cars, officers and an old white Discovery were blocking the road towards Grayswood at the cross roads with Church Lane and Three Gates Lane, a few officers were walking around something out of sight, guess the Impreza must have stacked it, possibly avoiding the Land Rover as left one of the junctions? I don't know, thought it best not to stop and ask.

Anyone in the know? Doesn't often happen around here!
