Just keeps on getting better and better.I grabbed a few screen shots just incase anyone has missed this stunner!
I love it all! The day/night cycles & the rising sun, the way the sun can glint off a random window or car screen, the shadows
when the headlights come on, spitting flames from exhausts, etc, etc, etc..

If your PC has some horsepower, it really is a fantastic game to sign up for.I have added some of that FXAA injector stuff, too.

There's already a tread running for this game, but thanks for sharing the pics and I do agree it lookes stunning. However, I can't escape the fact that compared to iRacing it handles completely ste (a lot like Shift 2 tbh) which ruins it for me...

I have changed my tune.

I started off hating it. Deep hate for an arcade game claiming to be a sim.
Six months on from my first try... it's now my 'go-to' game when I fancy a quick blat around a track.

It looks stunning, drives OK, and sounds great. It's not a sim, yet, but it's miles better than where they started. It plays better too, giving much better frame rates and more customisability.

So, as much as it hurts to say, I really like it now.

Where can you get this game/trial, also will it ever come to Xbox or is it PC only?

ha ha, indeed. it's pushing current PCs to their limits, so xbox has no chance of looking good imho.

Here's a video I took a week or so ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs7bFgMEzLs&fea...

If you think that then maybe I need to give it another go when i've beefed up my PC a bit..

you might not need to - I used to get 30fps and now get solid 60 v-sync'd, but upto 150 if I let it loose (and that's on 3 screens).

I think they've improved it a lot.

Interesting... On my rig I used to get only 20fps, and that dropped to something like 1 whenever I went past the pits on their version of Imola, was annoying in the extreme, plus I just couldn't get on with the handling, but look forward to trying it again! Have you ordered a Fanatec Clubsport wheel yet? wink

Nope, I was going to and then they had a massive website issue, during the issue few people managed to place orders (not me) and then they ran out of stock. So, I missed out and now there is no stock til september.

Ho hum.

Oh god I need to get a PC, the youtube clips of this are memorising especially the old cars! Will the G25 wheel work with this, the connection is USB?

I'm at the point where I want to throw the ps3 and its poxy controller out of the window. Anyone know where I can get a ready made pc that will play this game at the max easily? I've been with mac for a few years now but I really need to play proper games.

You can put together a PC rather easily these days, or just go to Scan or Mesh for a pre-built one.

A G25 will be great with it - it's a solid wheel that is used by a _LOT_ of sim-racers.

I'd wholeheartedly recommend Scan, got all my parts from them last summer. If you buy individual components and assemble it yourself your budget will stretch further for a betters spec.

What are the physics like? Do the devs say it is running release-version physics?

Watching some videos - very impressive, looks great, car models impressive. Not played it ovbiously, but physics didn't look very 'simulation'?

Watching with interest at the project though smile

Physics aren't there yet in my opinion, still feels too floaty and arcadey. The physics are still work in progress though and cars like the GP2, Radicals and DTM are a lot fun to race.

They're somewhere between arcade and sim - it's getting better, but still miles off rfactor/iracing etc.

Good fun though.
