Morning,

I'm going to head down to my local stealer and spec out a new M135i this week, was just wonder what the opinion was on must have features above and beyond the very well specced base model?

Currently on my want list are bucket seats (if they even exist) and I am torn between the merits of the auto vs a good old fashioned stick, thoughts?

Cheers,

P

No such option for bucket seats, standard on these are leather sport seats.
Driver comfort, interior comfort, black panel display, auto wipers/head lights and HK speaker upgrade are popular options. Up to you if you want the £2k pro Nav.

You are doing pretty well now to spec an NA engine on any BMW nowadays. I think the 530i is the only curent NA car in the line up if you discount the outgoing 3coupe/cabio. Pretty shocking really.
Happy to be proved wrong as I only did a quick check of the BMW website!

But a real M designated car has only one number in it
M1
1M
M3/5/6
X5M
X6M
Z3MC
Z4MC

see?

Yes it makes perfect sense, just like the M-Coupe (no number), but I would have a M135i over a that, a X5M, and the X6M, any day..... oooh I cant wait for the X1M to come out, what another embarrassment to the M division that will be.

I don't really understand why it is a problem having this post on here? Surely this is a fine car that is a cut above the mainstream BMW range? We are not talking about a 116d M are we?

I am not trolling her, but I just a little concerned that someone has asked for advice from knowledgeable people is being pushed aside because of badge snobbery.... Please guys we are not Audi drivers wink

(ETA: but I agree, the M135 isn't a real M car)

Was called the 'M6' in North America.

Not even sure why it was called the M635CSi in Europe & RoW, it had the ///M power unit whereas the M535i didn't........scratchchin

The M135 is not really hard core enough. The 1M is the true 1 series M car. The M135 doesn't even have an LSD as an option. frown This isn't badge snobbery, it's merely fact.

So what, does that automatically make it a terrible car that cant handle?

Just to remind you guys this car is part of BMW's new (whatever its called) division, separate to the pure M cars' brand.

It's on the M-Power website and this is the M Power sub forum. wink

According to BMW, an M Performance car is 30% different to a regular series car and an M car is 80% different.
