TVR in the bushes A331 nr Aldershot

Saw a blue (04plate) in the bushes between Farnborough and Aldershot turnoff going towards Guildford this afternoon, BIB had just arrived. Anyone on here? Hope your ok if it is....

Spot the common connection between the three cars above:
TVR
Cadillac
S14

Yep, all RWD and (probably) no traction control. A lot of fun on wet roads until it goes pear shaped.

Traction control will not stop someone driving like a twunt.
Drivers should also not rely on electronic devices but should learn basic of vehicle
control and driving in accordance with the conditions.

See plenty of late model vehicles with many added gizmo's still ending up in the weeds.

Just my take on it !

I agree with you although I wasn't commenting on driving standards (or lack of them), just how easy it can be to get a little-bit-too-far-sideways then BANG in a RWD car, that's all. With three examples in a day or so as hugely unscientific proof.

Perhaps my post came across as being anti-RWD? Wasn't meant to be; I can't wait for my RWD car to be back on the road soon too (which probably means late November and icy roads - yeehaa).

In the bad snow last year I saw 5 cars who had had a shunt, surprisingly 3 were Range Rovers...

That's not surprising. Most 4x4 drivers seem to drive like dicks in the snow. They seem to think that just because they have some traction that means they get around corners & stop without having to drive any slower. I saw a Landy do a really good fish-tail in the snow a couple of years ago on the A339 coming out of Basingstoke. There was only really one lane open and everyone was following the tyre tracks. This Landy driver thought he'd be clever and shot out into the snow-covered 2nd lane and put his foot down. Seconds later it was fish-tailing all over the place! I'm amazed he didn't crash it into any other cars/central barrier. He ended up sideways across the lane and completely stuck s nobody in the moving lane would stop to let him reverse back into the lane
