Hi Guys, hello from sunny So Cal the pictures of rain at Silverstone caused me to think that the reason Ultima's are built out of Glass is so they will not rust. Just kidding. Came home from Super Car Sunday today, shut the ultima off and the radiator fans continued to run? Recycled the power switch a couple of times and all the fuel pumps A.C. fans ect turned on and off as normal, pulled the leads that connect the thermostat to the circuit and the fans kept running. I am now assuming that the fan relay has failed internaly and and it will have to be replaced. Next action is to pull the fan fuse and listen for the relay to cycle. As a builder electrics are by far my weakest skill besides spelling. I assume that I am headed in the right direction? Input please. Lee

yes fans are a highly inductive load and can cause relay contacts to stick very quickly !

if you can program your water temp relay kick in then go 3 or 5 degrees higher which willreduce the cycles of fan switching and extend relay life

On the GM ECU if Temp > X then fans run on for Time Y.....

No idea what the Motec does though, but might be worth looking at a parameter rather than a fault.
