This!!!

The M5 was getting a bit miley - coming up to 110K and I do a fair bit of mileage for my job. The M5 was a fantastic drive but was starting to get a bit long in the tooth. Also, I am always aware of prices and with the E60 in freefall, it wont be long until we get the £3K M5!!

I also sold my cerbera last week - not using it enough and difficult to justify, especially with a 6 week baby now.

So, traded the M5 and added a bit of cash to buy the CL600

Its the facelift model which means a V12 with biturbos = equals over 500hp and over 500lbs of torque!
Feels turbine like quick - being an auto you are not aware of the speed, especially as you are so cosseted by the double glazing, air suspension etc but my god its got some poke!

The weak point on these is the ABC hydraulic suspension which costs thousands to put right. Mine has had £2500 spent last year at the maindealer on fixing the pump so , fingers crossed, no issues for a while...!

Inside the car has everything - TV, DVD, Nav, distronic cruise (unbelievable!), Bose, electric everything, massaging seats, fridge etc etc and everything works!!

So, I guess I must be getting grown up!

At the moment I am still at the stage of going to look out of the blinds to stare at it. Gorgeous..........!!!

(PS Only 11K which, considering it was £110K 7 years ago, is a proper bargain in my book!

Enjoy

Great car!

ABC on these isn't as bad as it is on the SL for some reason... but if you have damper failure don't freak out at the £1500 cost per damper: people can rebuild the failed item which is usually a worn balljoint.

Parts prices are monumental, more than for the M5 I'm afraid, but so worth it - a much nicer car! Good steer!

74,000 miles with full history - hopefully nothing nasty around the corner!!
I have a 3 month warranty from the dealer but am considering taking out an independent yearly warranty as I fear bills are inevitable

Cant really find anything to do so far other than give it a good polish.....!

Oh - have ordered a genuine "V12 Biturbo" badge to put on the back

Fap fap fap. Uberbarge that is. Set the cruise control to 130, engage distronic and just sit back until Berlin.

Very nice smile Post some pics of the engine and interior if possible. I've heard about the toys in this car and how great the engine is but then again was also warned about how many things could go wrong... Any rusts at all on the bodywork?

I too have a v12, minus the turbos. Don't answer like a d!ck, I am not expecting him to get 30. I'm just interested.

thanks for the comments guys - wasnt sure it would be seen as very PH, especially compared to the other 2!

Onboard trip says 16 mpg last night from London to Northampton at around 90 all the way on the M1.....M5 used to do 21 so hopefully I can get somewhere near that!

My father in law, bless him, asked me last night if it was a diesel or petrol!!!!!

Will get some pics of the engine and interior up when it stops raining.

In the meantime, just waiting to put my personal plate on it and then sitting back on cruise!!!! haha

By the way, in case I were thinking it was going to be a be too "bargey" compared to the M5, it despatched a 4 car overtake on the way home last night with incredible ease (just a scientific test you understand - i dont condone such behaviour!!)
