Anybody been here?
Just seen somebody posting pictures of it and i checked the website out.

I really really love these kind of places, and I thought, "hmm, perhaps i will make a day of it, get up early, ride there, have lunch and then ride back"
but f
k that, its just to the left of manchester, an a long way from north east kent.
other than that little oversite, I'd love me some burnt ends and pulled pork nachos.

There are loads of places in London offering this too you know. Bodeans is the one I went to near Tower Bridge - might be more convenient :-)but f

Hickory's is good enough but I think Bodeans beats it for sheer food quality. The location of Hickory's on the river is very nice though.
It's ok....not great, just ok.
Ribs to me are supposed to fall off the bone but these were very tough. However the BBQ sauce they use is very nice.
Pulled pork had everything going for it except it was just too sweet.
I'll be going back again though...have to try the burgers.
This is all in my opinion of course.

Went there last week on a two trip to Chester and really enjoyed it.
Had the Smokehouse Platter with a few sides (mac n cheese, chilli cheese fries and creamed corn). Loved the pulled pork but wasn't overly impressed with the ribs. In fact I'd say that I've cooked better ribs at home on the Weber.
Not bad price either. Worked out a £53 for the food, sides, couple of beers for me and couple of soft drinks for the wife.
Enjoyed it a lot more than Bodeans in Soho which I went to with some friends on Saturday.

The ideal rib is supposed to have bite. If falling off the bone it's probably been boiled which is a no no as flavour is lost in the water.
Each to their own though.
Agree with this, a good rib should be sticky on the outside and a bit tough - I like a rib I've really got to tear into. If you don't feel a bit like a caveman eating a rib, it's not a good rib Each to their own though.

I live an hour or so away, so not too far to travel! but f
