We will be there in our new SR3rs.

A new toy to play with that has lots of gizmos, every one of which we are quite capable of buggering up!

And the sun was shining and it was very busy.

Shame I spoilt it by putting our new Radical in the armco.

Apologies for any inconvenience!

Bugger. Didn't know you were there or I would certainly have come to say hello.

Ours was the white one in Radical colours. Only ran for a while in the morning until I stuffed it into the wall. First day out in it as well.

I'm spending some time on the naughty step right now as we wait for an invoice from those charitable souls at Radical for a bunch of front end bits.

To be fair nothing structural and no suspension damage. Heading to Le Mans first week in August with it so have to move quick!

Which one were you?

We were out in the two light green SR3s (me n Miss Bert with Nigel Greensall) and unusually for us, only managed minor damage on the day! Smashed mirror from a stone. I'm sure you will get the car fixed quickly. What caused the off?

Ah I know you now.

I'm afraid I probably ran out of talent to be frank. I was coming into Agostini a bit quick and the brakes are floating 280's and I think I locked the rears and got a wheel on the grass. Passenger from then on in!

It was a glancing blow on the front left hand corner. Took off the bodywork and the splitter with accociated bits and bobs.

No structural or suspension damage so it's an unbolting repair. Boy do I ache this morning though!

ahh yes, it's easy to lock up the rear going into there, the tarmac must dip or have a bump. It's also tempting to carry too much speed. Should be an easy fix, glad your ok and only sustained damage to the wallet!

It's strange you say that. My recollection is that I was braking firmly for some while before the 'spin' happened. When I first got out i told the marshalls etc that it just turned right under braking. I got persuaded that I had actually got a wheel on the line or grass though.

Either way, it's only quids rather than bones!

You just had on a standard track day straight through didn't you? We put our trusty double cow-horn on and tested at 101db. How aout you? Have to say that I thought there were some noisy cars there. Was sure that Ginetta was going to get a pull for noise. Mind you, they are always pretty fair at Snett.

we had no noise probs, the standard quiet zorst works fine at Snett. If you are unsure about the brakes, do some braking tests when you next go out to check you've not got something untoward going on (having tested them in the garage as it were). If you have data logging you can check the f/r bias as well.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.... regarding sound test, i tested at 103 static and i was only just under the drive by ... i know the Ginneta you mentioned and it must have been over(but then again it was only there for a Corp function). There was a Caterfield that was thrown off for noise tho... Unfortunatly my day was over by lunch as i managed to crack a disk frown .. It was great to see the Porsche Cups and Radicals going round in anger !! But was it a tarck day or test day? smile

We have stripped the front down and the damage is only superficial....just expensive!

Sorry to hear about your problems too. I did see you and had resolved to come say hi before my ride to the medical centre! A corporate day isn't a good enough excuse though to be too loud. Rules have to be applied evenly.

It was very close to a test day indeed wasn't it. Probably a bit too close if I am honest but I didn't spend long enough on track to judge. On the other hand it's the standard of driving which is the important thing.

Fingers crossed we are fixed for 2 days at Le Mans on 3rd August!

It was interesting to see whether it was a test day or track day. I actually think it was the latter for us - we were sharing a driving coach and did lots of driving and being driven and following. Also MSV session their test days to avoid the mixture of performance so much.

Also if it was a test day I would have been driving a lot faster biggrin

No doubt about it being a track day. As you say, at a test day I suspect many of those there would have been closer to the edge (present company excepted drivingspin). I found the edge very easily!

I think the huge number of race cars / teams could create the wrong impression to the casual observer where in actual fact a sensible approach seems to have been taken by all. Lots of corporate stuff going on in reality I suspect.
