The story from the driver was that he applied the brakes at 130 and the car jumped sideways, sliding down the barrier for a while. Damage was front and rear driver's side corners, bent wishbone and buckled spider alloy wheel.

Last time I saw him, he was off to find a Nissan spacesaver to make it home.

That happened just in front of us, heading into the first chicane on the straight. Tucked over well and then piroetted off to the right. I didn't get to talk to the poor chap but my first thought that is was caused by rear wheel braking from a down change?

A French couple in the end trailer-ed the car to England for him. Amazing how friendly TVR owners can be.

One of our group, exhaust also bent. He got a lift home on a trailer driven by one of the generous TVRCC France chaps.
Everyone home safe and generous french chap and his wife enjoying some UK hospitality atm.

Does any one know what happened between the Aston DB5 and the French registered Sag on the first TVR laps that quite a few of us ended being sent out on before the main outing?

^^ I spoke to the guy as well. The French folk were from Bordeaux - who are now going to spend a little holiday in the Home Counties. It is very heartening to see fellow petrolheads come to the rescue in cases like this.

love it! mic overload! do you know what the yellow car was at 2:00? ..was my favorite, along with the similar looking red 'no. 7', upfront in many of the races....Howling off Arnage corner!

5D Mk2 and 70-200 f2.8

Most pics ISO set at 5000 or 6400. The light trail shot was using the top of a girder on the staircase of the Dunlop stand. ISO 100 for that one with 25 or 30 second exposure. It was the one picture I wanted to get and it was worth the walk round and over the Dunlop bridge to get it. The image is as shot with just a bit of straightening and cropping.

Agreed - great shot and way better than my piddle poor efforts at tailight trails.

if anyone has pictures of the number 58 citroen in plateau 1 i'd love to see them, especially on track.

we almost made it to the end, with the engine expiring with 10 mins to go in the last race.

after braking a cam follower in quallifying, and a mad dash half way to paris to find one. spares for a 1932 car are interesting to find!!!

the 4 drivers were sat in a. bar at the classic in 2010 and non of them even held a race licence!!!! so to get from there to all 4 of them getting racing laps in was some achievment

Not the greatest panning technique but it is the only one I have of it that I can find at the moment. I will search through the other pictures later
