Hi all I have a problem with my windscreen washer in that the nipple that the washer tube goes into on top of the black grill on drivers side has broken away & looking at the bible it looks a total nightmare to try & fix? Does anyone have any bright idea's or fixes that they have done before?
I wouldn't be too bothered but i'm told that this will be an MOT failure if I don't get it fixed!
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks
Howard.

Can anyone help ? or does this mean as per bible that I may have to take out dash to gain access to this part? It is only the top that has broken off the connector the water currently jets up into the air?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Thanks
Howard

im new to this tvr business but if you cant gain access to the retaining nut on the underside of the jet then it will be dash out time. sometimes the jets are just kinda' clipped in place and can be pulled up through allowing you to remove the washer pipe and fit a new jet. If there is no play then its screwed in place. Hope this makes some sense.

I've heard it can be retrieved with a skillfully looped piece of thread, but don't imagine it is easy.

This happened to mine recently nightmare of a job , the dash needed to come out and a hole cut into the bulkhead behind the dash ,after repairing a plate has to be made to cover the hole as this is the screen heating duct ! . I beleive that newer models already have a slot cut in the bulkhead .?
