F1 Silverstone a right anti-climax after Le Mans?

I was lucky enough to go to both this year, made better by the F1 tickets being free.
But - Is it just me, or is F1 at Silverstone a complete anti-climax after Le Mans? I've never done an F1 race before (It's been on the to do list for years). I don't quite know what I was expecting - but it seemed like a bit of a damp squib, that was over before it really had time to get started. I've watched most of this years races, and enjoyed them more from the sofa.
I ended the day, quite glad that I hadn't paid for the tickets, whereas I'm already planning yet another trip to La Sarthe.

stopped going to F1 after my first LM trip... and I have been to over 50 GP's absolutely no contest.... But - Is it just me, or is F1 at Silverstone a complete anti-climax after Le Mans? I've been lucky enough to visit the grands prix that many would say are the 'core events' Monaco, monza, spa etc.. But there's only one event that keeps me coming back year after year and that's le mans.
The fact that this year was my 10th in succession of going and I'm still not getting tired of it speaks for itself!

I go to the Monaco GP every year (as well as the 24 hour) and love it. Le Mans is great for boozing and on track action. Monaco is great for glamour and watching some racing in a bit of luxury.
I would never bother with F1 at Silverstone. It combines the worst of Le Mans (long walks and overcrowded in the middle of an often muddy field) with the worst of F1 (overpriced and short on on track action). Monza wasn't much better IMHO.
