This is not aimed at anyone in particular!

Do you think that the owners of car-related PH usernames should "give them up" if they move away from that marque or downgrade significantly?

For example, do you find it a bit misleading if someone on here calls themselves “500BhpSupra” if they have only owned a 1.0 Aygo over the last 5 years?

(NOTE: This thread is in no way related to a couple of usernames that I would like which are no longer relevant to their owner’s garage)

A PH'er I know was called Mazdarse when he had a Mazda 6 MPS but he changed it to ArsE92 when you guessed it...got a BMW 335i (E92)

..but there is also exigepete which now has a lovely 2011 Porsche GT3 RS - He is an example of someone that didn't change his username.

I do not mind if they change or not, but I like it if it is clever like ArsE92. smile

Mine is bike related, I'll not change it if/when I change my bike.

I don't want to change to Steve 320Efficient Dynamics.

I'd have my Octavia vRS back in a heartbeat!

When I signed up I wanted to find an old BG Mazda 323F. Hence the name. Still not owned one 5 (6?) years later. But the name sticks.

Mine's just my name. Made the mistake of calling myself "K10MicraSH" on another forum, now everybody assumes I have a K10 Micra without looking in my garage. I was 16 when I bought the damn thing!

And you can't really abbreviate that to Steve 320ED, heh.

I was suffering a lack of imagination when I chose mine...(the username, not the car)

My Mustang doesn't have an LS1, the engine in my old Camaro on which the name was based, but it's taken a long time to build up the esteem and reverence, almost god-like status I have on here, so I'm keeping it. rofl

Mine is a trim level.... was using it on marque specific forums way back when, and haven't changed it since, either when going up or down the 'car ladder'

I'm not a big fan of the car based user name. Mine is based on an old DJ business that I tried out about 10 years ago. I use same name on other forums and its also part of my username on XBox Live smile
