what laptop should i buy?

any recommendations for a laptop? need 12ish for a school that have

long battery life
built in wireless pref
large screens - 14"+
reputable company
cheap but not so theyre shite
pref 512 mb
intel

Sony or Fujitsu or Tosh for personal use, but not tough enough for a school.
