Independent Service Specialist

Just bought an 05 Mini Cooper convertible for my other half privately last weekend. It is soon to be due it's 55000 mile service from which I understand is an Inspection 2 service.Anybody know of a good specialist in Essex who will do a proper job without it costing fortunes?

Not in Essex but just up the road near Cambridge, give Thomas or Paul a ring at www.1320MINI.co.uk used them quite a few times for mine (even though it's 220 mile round trip for me), excellent service & competitive prices too.

i can vouch for 1320 also. iam very very fussy about who i let touch my S but always more than happy to have them work on it. they are honest, no BS guys and you wont end up paying for parts/work that isnt needed. not super close for me but well worth the drive

I have found a Mini specialist in Southend called Mini Tech. Seem like reasonable prices but I cannot find any feedback for them. Just want to sort something before the end of the month

Never heard of mini tech but have another vote for 1320mini. The lads there are fab.

Dont understand why my last post was removed but I will try again. I used a company called minitechessex.co.uk . Very reasonable, really helpfull and has really good feedback on his website. Give him a try he is based in Rayleigh Essex.

Another vote for 1320mini. It's a 160 odd mile round trip for me, but they have pretty much had my whole car to pieces over the years doing jobs on it. I wouldn't use anyone else now!! Top blokes. They have customers who travel from Belgium, Switzerland, holland and even Slovakia

How about recommendations for someone of a similar calibre in the Bristol area? The local dealer just quoted me £299 for an oil change service, £69 for a brake fluid change and £290.56 for new rear discs + pads... Seems a bit steep to me, but then I've only had Fords previously.
