I know this has been probably asked before, but the PH search is down, so can anyone recomend a small discrete in car camera to use for track and maybe day to day driving, cost wise up to about £50 including memory card

Maybe dont really need any flash features, just something to record.
I have been using my iphone in the past, with a windscreen mount and just pressing record as i get onto the track, but would prefer something else.

Those little £10 ones you get on eBay work surprisingly well.

I gaffa taped one to the front of my bike on trackdays. They are a bit fiddly and the quality is nothing special but they work. I can dig out the youtube link from mine if you want.

Please do, I'm interested - one man's decent quality is another man's grainy crap, so if a video shows those things do a good job it's rude not to!

This was taken on a slightly older, but similar one. The quality is generally acceptable, but low on features.

I'm on the lookout for something similar with a screw-mount for suction goodness.

Thats from an £11 little recorder???? If so thats quite impressive, im sure that will work in the MR2, i presume you have to plug it into a cig lighter to power it?
Is it easy to use?

Actually it was taken from one of these, but apparently the quality of the £11 is much better: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Spy-Car-Key-Chain-D...

I'm on the white NC30 in front riding in the beginners group mate. The camera is on my mates bike.

Its all battery powered. I just gaffa tape it to the front of the bike and hit go. Its not brilliant but if you just want a quick clip of your trackday or whatever then its great. Filesizes are manageable as well so easy to bung on youtube.

Seem to remember the Gadget Show recommending a Swann camera a while back, was cheaper than Go Pro.

That's bloody good! Sold biggrin if anyone sees a red E46 in a few days' time and wonders what the weird bracket stuck to the front of it is, you'll be able to tell them hehe
