It looks like I might be working away for the foreseeable future so milage will be limited (just weekends). So I can maybe sell the 330d which has been brilliant for 15-20k a year and get something such as an evo, scooby or an m3?

Tbh I'd do 15k in an m3 so I could always save that for when circumstances change.

Any suggestions for a decent motor around 12k for low milage. No kit cars or anything too daft.

Tvrs and porsches interesting but disturbing number seem to have engines replaced!

Need a legendary engine and good noise.

I presume you'd exclude anything with a TVR badge in that case? wink

ETA ...Not even a nice sensible German Porsche? Truly interesting may be tricky by the sound of it, but you can find any number of mass produced saloons with big engines. An E39 M5 may be worth a look... They sound like caged thunder with the right exhaust on. I'm assuming you'd steer clear of an MG ZT 260, so maybe a Vauxhall VXR8?

Plenty of classics out there that fit the bill, if you're that way inclined.
