No such thing as a daft question....then again!!

Which way round does a copper sump plug go? smooth to sump or other way?

Thanks

It doesn't matter.

Hey, this is a Rover, you can't be critical!

I've gone smooth to sump as there is a nick in the other side which may potentially lead to a weep?

Honestly, you really are a cheapskate Peter laugh

Do you aneal in the oven while you cook your Sunday roast?

FYI anealing works well with a flat copper washer, but it wont do much for the proper hollow formed crushable Rover V8 sump plug washer wink

Once it's crushed, it's crushed.

I get mine for £0.80p from my local Range Rover specialist, so as extravagant as it sounds I throw caution to the wind and fit a new one every time.

I really am the last of the big spenders biglaugh
