Champagne bottle into a wine bag - does it fit?

ok weird and slightly boring question, does a champagne bottle fit into one of those regular wine bottle gift bags? I have neither here to test, and I want to buy some wine bags off ebay, if they do fit. I know champagne bottles tend to be fatter round the middle, so to speak?

I already bought the champagne at New Years (on offer). It's wedding gifts (I'm getting married! )
