I need a runabout for a few months.

A mate has a T reg focus with 1 months mot and tax and says I could have it for £450, is it worth it?

Specifically it has 120k on the clock, and apparently needs a new ball joint fitted.

I would've asked on the ford subforum but it seems a bit dead!

£450 quid is cheap for any car with an MoT that works.

Lol, take it, use it and if it's going to cost too much to MOT it then shove it on eBay. You'll probably get nearly that back just from a breaker.

Worst case you lose £350 when you scrap it. Buy it.

As others have said worst case you shouldn't loose much on it, would be better if it had longer test but as it's your mate who knows the car it's allot better than buying blind.

I bought a shed for £330 last year, thinking if it lasted 3 months I'd be happy. 12 months later it's only cost me a tyre to put it through it's MOT and refuses to die so can't justify getting rid.
