Cameras on A1

I dont use it very often but last week took a jaunt down the A1 from Yorkshire to Bedfordshire, and was amazed at the number of cameras on there. But i did'nt see any flashing. Do the cameras on the A1 work?

If memory serves me correctly the A1 has both forward and rear facing IR camers. Apparently these do not need to flash.

There are 3 50MPH cameras near West Drayton
There is a 70MPH just before Tuxford
There are 2 70MPH cameras near Great Gonerby
2 70MPH cameras near Great Ponton
2 70MPH cameras near Colsterworth1
1 40MPH camera near Thornhaugh
1 70MPH camera near Stibbington
1 50MPH camera near Little Paxton
2 50MPH cameras near Beeston
1 60MPH camera near Biggleswade

Into the london area there are too many to count.

The Little Paxton camera was only there for the roadworks earlier this year - it's long gone.
