Hello, I have done a few searches on this topic and have unearthed very little so apologies if this is a form of repost.

Myself and a mate or 2 want to drive to the Nurburgring, stop in Brugge for a few hours on the way, a nice road trip etc.
We were planning to hire a track prepped Suzuki Swift for a day and 2 of us share the car, hoping to get 6 laps in each, staying in a hotel the night before and after.

After some research, it appears that during the Summer Saturdays and Sundays, when the ring is open all day the ring is veeerrryyy busy, and we might not have a great amount of track time considering the money being spent on car hire etc. and spend a lot of time queuing for a rammed 'Tourisentfahrten.'

we reckon it would be around £500-600 each all in, and thats a lot of money for a possibly underwhelming track experience.

Im starting to think a weekend in Amsterdam and an nice open pit lane track day or 2 in the Uk would be better.

Should we do a couple of midweek evening sessions?
Am i misguided, what do you think?

You definatly need to be aware that there is a good chance you won't get that many laps in. You really need to go with an attitude of 'Cool, road trip to the 'ring, we might even get a few laps in' otherwise you'll be wanting a proper, organised, track day there.
